Three one-bedroom cottages are located on the spacious property. One two-bedroom cottage is in proximity to the Heritage House. We invite you to leave your footprints on our private beach. Each of the one-bedroom cottages has a full bath, a spacious living room with kitchenette and a gas barbecue on the large sundeck. Elisabeth’s Hunting Cottage, in close proximity, offers two bedrooms with ensuite bathrooms, a kitchen, a living room, and a barbecue on the porch. All cottages have a beautiful view of Port Hood Island and you will be in awe of the breathtaking sunsets here.
Wireless internet and cable TV is available in every cottage.
Port Hood, a vibrant, scenic, rural fishing village on the Ceilidh Trail on Cape Breton Island and home to sandy beaches and some of the warmest waters in eastern Canada.
Boat tours are available to explore the two charming and historic offshore islands while two beautiful sandy beaches are close by, allowing you to stroll along the pristine waters of Cape Breton Island. Relax at our private beach or enjoy an outdoor chess game with large-scale chess pieces. Hike on the nearby boardwalk, take your bike to the Celtic Shores Coastal Trail, or participate in the Historical Walking Tour through Port Hood and Port Hood Island. You can also book a tee time and play a round of golf at two of Canada’s only true links golf courses, Cabot Links and Cabot Cliffs.
Haus Treuburg is the perfect place to make day trips to the Heritage Museum in Port Hood, the Celtic Music Interpretive Center in Judique and to many destinations throughout Cape Breton to explore our Celtic culture.
