Corney Brook Campground is located in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, 15 km north of Cheticamp. It is a small campground on the ocean, featuring 22 tenting sites with fireplaces. It’s a very popular campground and works on a first-come, first-served basis. Potable water is available. GPS Location: N46 43.580 W60 55.523
Note: No large RVs or trailers; this small campground is most suitable for tents and small pop-up car campers. No generators, please.
Campground Services:
- Flush toilets and running water
- Kitchen shelters with wood stoves
Activities:
- Ocean swimming (unsupervised)
- Hiking (within walking distance)
Pay by self-registration or at a Parks Canada Visitor Centre.
There are several walking and hiking trails nearby, including:
- Corney Brook for a walk in a river canyon to a waterfall
- Skyline (a 10 minute drive away) for a truly magnificent view of ocean and mountains
- Le Vieux Chemin du Cap-Rouge for picturesque ocean views
Park is open year-round but full visitor services are only available from mid-May until mid-October.
