À propos

Vollmer’s Island Paradise is located in a protected cove on Janvrin’s Island, allowing easy access to the beautiful Chedabucto Bay on Cape Breton Island. These cozy cottages, hand-built of untreated, natural wood, have been strategically placed on the resort, giving each a liberal circumference of privacy. To preserve nature’s tranquil setting, Vollmer’s Island Paradise has a maximum guest quota of 16 people, so the only noises to be heard are the relaxing sounds of the nature surrounding you. Guests are welcome to visit our guest lodge, located in the centre of the resort, to play games, barbecue, meet other people, watch movies, or just read a book from our own little library.

Cape Breton’s natural beauty has so much to offer to the nature enthusiast. From the adventurous thrill of scuba diving on ancient ship wrecks to the tranquil feeling of bird watching, Janvrin’s Island can provide it all. Enjoy a hike on the Janvrin’s Trail, cruise on our 33′ motor vessel around the Isle Madame, visit Seal Rock on your rented kayak, or go on a diving expedition with Marlin Diving Enterprises Inc., located in our lodge.

Our accommodations include six log cottages featuring king, queen or double beds, with a 3-piece (shower) bath. Guest amenities include a gift corner, art gallery, meeting/seminar house, and a private wharf. Outdoor activities include scuba diving, diving expeditions (equipment available), canoes, walking trails, and fishing.
