The Lakes Campsite is located on the Cabot Trail at North East Margaree on Cape Breton Island. Our campsite is situated on beautiful Lake O’Law surrounded by the Cape Breton Highlands that offer natural beauty and sparkling waters that you will remember for life.
The Lakes is only minutes away from the famous Margaree River, a Canadian Heritage River renowned for its salmon fishing and offers a variety of beautiful pools. There is something for everyone here. Enjoy Celtic music, ceilidhs, and other authentic cultural events, visit the stunning coastline and wonderful crafters, or fly fish for salmon or trout in the Margaree River Valley. You can also enjoy a day trip through the Cape Breton Highlands National Park and the legendary Cabot Trail with panoramic views of canyons, highlands, and seacoasts, hiking trails, golf, beaches, look-offs ad interpretive programs.
Our accommodations include 27 overnight sites with electrical (15 and 30 amp), water, and sewage hook-up or unserviced, 1 rental trailer, and 30 seasonal sites. Open and wooded campsites are available on Lake O’Law. Guest amenities include flush toilets, pay showers, washrooms, laundry services, a disposal station, wood, camping supplies, and a pay phone. Activities include boating, fishing, pedal boats, canoes, kayaks, mini-golf, go-karts, bouncing castle, and a play area. Our grounds include a gift shop and a licensed restaurant. Live lobster is also available.

Cancellation policy: Must cancel 72 hours prior to the day of arrival.
