Relation: five emerging artists – works from The Blue Building at Eltuek Arts Centre
Sydney & Area
À propos
The Blue Building Gallery is an artist-led contemporary commercial gallery in the north end of Kjipuktuk / Halifax, Nova Scotia. Since opening in 2021, it has provided a 1,400-square-foot purpose-built art gallery for artists to show and sell their work. The gallery lives within 2482 Maynard, a building that offers accessible studio space for independent artists and long-term space for artist-led non-profits. Their commitment to artists, storytelling, and community mirrors our own, and this collaboration feels like a true meeting of kindred spaces and people. Curated by gallery director Emily Falencki, this exhibition brings five remarkable emerging artists to Unama’ki, Cape Breton, offering new visual languages, identities, and ways of seeing. It’s an invitation to expand, reflect, and explore together. Featuring works by Krista-Leigh Davis, Kayza DeGraff-Ford, Ryan Josey, Yujia Shi, and Silas Wamsley, Relation will be on view throughout the winter months at Eltuek, culminating in a February gathering to celebrate friendship and five years of The Blue Building. Free to see, come experience these beautiful works. Monday through Friday, 9am-4pm, Saturdays from 9am-3pm. Sundays and evenings upon request.
