About

Welcome to Troy, home of the famous Scottish hospitality of the Ceilidh Trail. The Chisholm family has been extending this hospitality to visitors since their arrival on these shores almost two hundred years ago. Today, James MacDonald, great-great grandson of the original Chisholm settlers, welcomes you to these beautiful four-star cottages located on the Chisholm oceanfront farm.

Relax on your deck and enjoy the panoramic views, watch the eagles soaring through the sky from your deck or take a walk through the hay-fields to our own private beach. You can take advantage of excellent coastline hiking, biking, and cross-country skiing along the Trans Canada Trail System running through the property or simply barbecue or boil lobster on your deck and enjoy spectacular sunsets as you make the best of your location in discovering Cape Breton Island.

Our accommodations include 11 one- and two-bedroom housekeeping cottages with queen- and king-sized beds. All cottages come with a 4-piece bath, satellite television, radio, phone, wireless Internet, fireplace, cathedral ceilings with ceiling fans, and a deck with full use of the barbecue. Our B&B has 3 suites available, with courtyard view; a light breakfast is included for B&B guests.

Our property is partially accessible with Access Advisor. We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Debit.
