Waters Edge Gallery
Much of the work in our gallery is reflective of the sea, the environment and the maritime experience. Much of the flora, fauna and the fishing village experience of the Maritimes can be seen in the artwork represented here.
The gallery is located on the waterfront in beautiful, historic Baddeck, Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia. The current gallery building began as a residence in Upper Washabuck on the other side of the lake. It came to its present location in 1895 and for many years was the village carriage house.
It was the home of the Rose Cottage Gallery during the 80s and 90s and in 2002 reopened its doors as the Water’s Edge with much of the same spirit as the former gallery. The Rose Cottage was one of our favorite haunts in Baddeck through the years and now we hope The Water’s Edge will become one of yours.
