Located on Cape Breton Island, St. Peter’s Canal crosses an isthmus in the Village of St. Peter’s. Watch its workings as all types of pleasure craft and the occasional commercial vessel pass through. Outdoor exhibits describe the lock’s unique double gates, each with 4 swinging doors that form a diamond shape when closed.
