Hear the story of Sismoqnapui Skwe’j—Sweetwater Maiden, a young Mi’kmaq woman who, based on oral history, was the first to discover and boil sismoqnapui (maple sap) in Mi’kma’ki (Eastern North America) or participate in one of the other programs offered: campfires,smudging,storytelling, and games. Programs are delivered 5 days a week by Indigenous author, Parks Canada interpreter and former chief Mary Louise Bernard. Check website for further information.
