Taught by local ecological fibre artist Mel Sweetnam, a juried member of the Cape Breton Centre for Craft & Design, this one day workshop explores techniques for transferring natural plant pigments directly onto fabric, along with their shapes and surface details. Growing in popularity, this wonderful approach to natural dye surface design is often referred to as 'contact prints', 'leaf prints', 'botanical prints', or 'ecoprints', and is a very fun and rewarding approach to surface design.
