Cape Breton Paddlefest

Richmond County’s 6th annual Cape Breton Paddlefest offers a series of instructional, fun and social activities for paddlers of all experience levels and ages, under the supervision of certified instructors and experienced paddlers. The event showcases paddling opportunities in southwestern Cape Breton Island, including the Bras d’Or Lake Biosphere Reserve, sheltered inlets of Isle Madame, guided cultural paddles to Chapel Island in Potlotek, and the open Atlantic coastline. This weekend-long event is being held from September 9 – 11 and this year’s Festival home base is St. Peter’s.
