Two Rivers Wildlife Park:
– The park is 500-acres and is run by the community
– The park is located where the Salmon River meets the Mira River in Huntington
– The park first opened its doors in 1981. The province ran the park, which at the time was operated on a seasonal basis only.
– In 1995, the Department of Natural Resources ceases operation of the park, that’s when a not-for-profit community group formed to manage the facility
– The park is open 364 days a year. The only day the park is closed is on Christmas Day
– The facility features more than 50 species including birds, farm animals and Canadian wildlife
– The park is open daily 10 a.m.-5 p.m. during the winter months. Hours are extended during the summer months
