Our fifth annual “Swim the Canal” event has become an extraordinary community tradition of fun, festivities and celebration. There are two swim options, enter in the world-famous Bras d’Or Lake through the St. Peter’s Canal National Historic Site, ending at Battery Provincial Park beach on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean. You can swim the length, 800 meters or the width, 100 meters from Battery Park to the canal wall and back All swimmers receive a t-shirt to acknowledge their accomplishment. Swimmer info available here. Spectators welcome. Come cheer us on.

Cost: $15 per person, $16.50 online or $20 if paying on the day of the Swim.
