He’s also polished up his arsenal of cover tunes, exploring folk standards, ‘70s classics, some Canadiana, and a healthy amount of classics from the many talented musicians of Cape Breton. Russ Mathews is a rising singer-musician known for his soulful melodies and crowd-pleasing songs. Hailing from the heart of Cape Breton, his music combines folk and country influences, creating a fresh, authentic sound that resonates with audiences across the Island.
