On July 15, 16 and 17, Sydney will come alive with the smell of BBQ’ed ribs, fantastic food vendors, a kid’s entertainment zone and the sounds of music from some of the best local Cape Breton bands and individual artists. The 6th annual Rotary Ribfest will take place in downtown Sydney at Open Hearth Park
The Rotary Ribfest brings the excitement of family oriented fun for all ages and the thrill of competition together for three days of entertainment and amazing food. Five of North America’s greatest rib teams are coming to Sydney to compete for top awards. A lively beverage tent will be centrally located amongst the food vendors and entertainment stage so all attendees can enjoy the free musical entertainment.
The essence of Rotary is to give back to the community and this year all net proceeds from this Rotary fundraiser will be donated to a charity of choice, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation’s Tom MacNeil Cancer Patient Care Fund and Caleb’s Courage.
Ribfest is free to attend and we encourage all attendees make a donation at the door. Rotary Ribfest has been made possible from the strong support from our community and local business sponsors.
