Fortress Feast

September 17, 2016

Parks Canada and Fortress Louisbourg Association are pleased to partner with the Hospice Palliative Care Society of Cape Breton County for a distinctive fundraising event on September 17 at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site.

In the 18th century, Louisbourg workers received their wages for the year on St. Michael Feast Day in late September. It was an occasion of celebration that coincided with harvest, and Fortress Feast continues this tradition of celebrating the richness of fall.

On the feast menu: a salute to the king, a cocktail reception featuring Fortress™ Rum, a five-course elegant dinner, a concert and, to top it all off, fireworks!

6:00 p.m. – Salute to the King

6:30 p.m. – Dinner (five-course 18th-century inspired menu)

8:00 p.m. – Concert with Dawn & Margie Beaton

9:00 p.m. – Fireworks

Tickets: $100 plus tax
