Join us for culinary celebrations on select evenings this October as we feature Germany, Spain and the Caribbean dining experiences and celebrate their highly popular fall festivals. Germany: October 2-3 / “Oktoberfest” – features Cape Breton local Beer, Hefeweizen, by Breton Brewing. We offer 2 different table d’hote menus for the choosing very typical for the fall in Germany- such as
· A) liver dumpling soup + pork potato dumplings and Sauerkraut + Kaiserschmarrn (a type of sweet dumpling dough)
· B) Obatzter (a cheese dish) + Sauerbraten (Beef roast marinated in apple cider vinegar and red wine with Bread dumplings and Blaukraut + german cheesecake
Price incl. 1 beer + 1 snaps $65.-

Thanksgiving: October 11-12 the classic, with our organic roast Turkey and all the fixings you could want.
Price $45.-

Spain: October 16-17 / “La Tomatina”, a tomato fall festival in Spain, that involves tapa dishes serving tradicional small servings always involving the tomato on some level. It will be offered as a tasting menu of 6 tapas with a wine pairing for the first and the second three courses.
Price incl. 2 glasses of wine + a sherry $75.-

Caribbean: October 23-24 /”Dominican Merengue Festival” – Fall festival -Include a cocktail such as Piña Colada or Santo Libre. We will offer 2 menus, featuring the national dish called “the flag” (chicken stew with kidney beans and rice), Ceviche, beef and root soup called Sancocho, Ropa Vieja (slow cooked beef stew that is than shredded with a fork before serving), sweet kidney beans (a traditional Easter dessert) or flan de leche (creme caramel).
Price incl. 1 cocktail + 1 Mamajuana shot $55.-
