Ashley MacIsaac is a singer and songwriter from Creignish, Cape Breton. He has received three Juno (best in Canada) awards winning for Best New solo artist and Best Roots & Traditional album-solo and Best Instrumental Artist. His 1995 album, Hi – How are You Today was double-platinum.. He will be joined on piano by Mary Elizabeth MacInnis for the Tuesday concert and by Hilda Chiasson for the Friday concert..
Sarah MacInnis from West Mabou is the daughter ol Mary Elizabeth a fiddler, dancer, and pianist,and the grandaughter of world-renowned fiddler Buddy MacMaster was a with humble roots in Judique. Sarah is a gifted Gaelic singer, step dancer, and piano player. Currently a student at St. F.X., Sarah has been performing at Celtic Colours since 2015.
Abigail MacDonald hails from St. Andrews, Antigonish County where she was immersed in Gaelic music and culture. In addition to singing, she performs highland dance and plays piano and guitar. Abigail participated in 3 concerts during KitchenFest in early July.
On Tuesday, Mary Elizabeth MacInnis, the daughter of legendary Fiddler Buddy MacMaster, will play piano. For the Friday concert Ashley will be joined by Hilda Chiasson, a premier Cape Breton pianist who has performed on over 50 albums in Canada, the US, and Europe.
