Hike NS Webinar

Hike Nova Scotia’s Intro to Hiking webinar is geared for new and novice hikers, as well as experienced hikers looking for a refresher. It will take at 7 pm on September 23, October 20, and November 18. This one-hour “taster” session covers how to prepare for a hike and hiking best practices. It includes:

  • Information you need before you leave
  • What to bring and wear
  • Self-care
  • Hiking etiquette
  • A question and answer session through chat

Note: This is a live webinar only; there will be no recording available afterward. If you miss it, don’t worry, we plan to offer this webinar regularly.

Presenter
The presenter is Janet Barlow, Hike NS’s Executive Director, and life-long hiker.

The webinar is supported by the NS Department of Communities, Culture and Heritage.

Cost
Registration is required at least 2 hours in advance. It is free for Hike NS paid members and $20 for non-members (who then receive a free one-year individual membership). There is a limited number of spots available.
