The Cape Breton International Blues Festival presents Joe Murphy & the Water Street Blues Band with special guest Curtis Matheson. 

For over four decades, Joe Murphy & the Water Street Blues Band have been keeping the blues alive in Atlantic Canada. A Halifax legend, Joe Murphy has shared the stage with blues greats like John Lee Hooker, Sunnyland Slim, Otis Rush, and Pinetop Perkins, while leading his own band through countless unforgettable shows. Known for his soulful harmonica, gritty vocals, and a sound steeped in Chicago blues with a touch of Cajun spice, Joe and his seasoned band are guaranteed to deliver an authentic and high-energy blues experience.

Joining them is special guest Curtis Matheson, a Cape Breton-based artist whose raw talent, powerful stage presence, and deep love for the blues have made him a rising force on the local and regional music scene.
This special performance at the Capri Cabaret promises an evening of heartfelt music, great vibes, and good eats.
