Celebrate the cultural heritage of Cape Breton Highlands National Park with this new program. Explore the history and importance of square dancing to early European immigrants to Cape Breton, and discover how the isolation of communities led to the development of distinct styles. Learn steps and figures, then put your new-found knowledge to the test as you dance a full set to the rhythm of live fiddle music accompanied by the waves crashing nearby (and a guitar).
Do you already know how to square dance? Come join us anyway! Its great fun for beginners and experts alike!
