Hunters Mountain Chalets is located at the beginning of the legendary Cabot Trail on Cape Breton Island. Our self-contained chalets are situated in a quiet setting at the foot of the Cape Breton Highlands offering spectacular views of Hunters Mountain and the Baddeck River Valley from your own private patio deck. Our brand new patio decks are also equipped with barbeque and patio furniture for those special evening meals with your family or friends.
While staying with us, explore the areas nature and wildlife. Located within the Bras d‘Or Lake Biosphere Reserve, there are walking trails on the property and several hiking trails nearby, perfect for afternoon strolls or more strenuous hikes. Cape Breton offers many activities and experiences and we are perfectly situated to be your base for your vacation. We are just 10 minutes away from the scenic Village of Baddeck where you can stroll along the boardwalks; browse the various arts and craft shops; enjoy a meal in a wonderful cafés; play a round of golf at Bell Bay Golf Club; visit the Alexander Graham Bell National Historic Site; or hike to the scenic Uisige Ban Falls to name just a few of the area activities.
Our accommodations include 8 guest apartments with housekeeping facilities (King; 1- 2-bedroom) and 4 guest cottages with housekeeping facilities (King; 2-bedroom); all with a 4-piece bath, large living/dining room, futon or sofa-bed, electric fireplace, cable/satellite television, microwave, coffee maker, hair dryer, and Wi-Fi. A crib and a cot are available. There is no smoking in the cottages; there are designated areas outside to smoke. Pets are welcome. Wir sprechen Deutsch.
