While we’re all staying safe at home, we wanted to say “thank you” to amazing Cape Bretoners near and far who have gone above and beyond during these uncertain times. To those frontline workers, those people who have put food on our doorsteps, music in our homes, smiles on our faces, and so much more.
We asked you to nominate Cape Bretoners home and abroad that have made a positive impact on their community. From all of our incredible submissions, we randomly selected 30 winners. We’ll share one each day here and on our social media channels to share the love and bring some light to your day.

Hannah Krebs works as a ban-chleasaiche | Gaelic Cultural Animator at Baile na Gàidheal | Highland Village Museum. Gaelic language, music, and square dances are some of her favourite things about Cape Breton.

The Gaels celebrated their culture not in huge buildings or sculptures but in their songs. Their songs told the stories of the people, the land, good times and bad, love's lost and yearned for.
There’s nothing better than watching two musicians who just love playing music together.
