Ocean View Motel & Chalets is an oceanfront property situated in the Acadian village of Chéticamp on the famous Cabot Trail on beautiful Cape Breton Island.
Chéticamp provides a variety of activities for everyone to enjoy – unique craft shops, historic sites, whale watching tours, golfing (Le Portgage Golf Club), hiking trails and beaches. Visitors can experience local Acadian entertainment and restaurants featuring our traditional cuisine. Les Trois Pignons houses the Museum of the Hooked Rug and Home Life – an Acadian, cultural, genealogical and visitor information centre which shares the story of the settlement of Chéticamp and the evolution of hooked rugs. There are restaurants, a local pub and a golf course all within a 5-minute walk of the property.
While staying with us, enjoy the panoramic views of canyons, highlands and seacoasts as you drive through Cape Breton Highlands National Park with 25 hiking trails – from easy strolls to challenging climbs – golf, wildlife, beaches, look-offs and interpretive programs. The Cabot Trail weaves through the Park and we are located just 5 km / 3 mi from the park’s entrance.
Our accommodations include 6 spacious motel rooms (Queen, King) and 12 one-bedroom chalets (Queen, King; 2 with double whirlpool and fireplace); all ground level with a 4-piece bath, satellite television, DVD player and complimentary movies. Guest amenities include free wireless Internet access; the chalets also have barbecues and picnic tables. Reservations are recommended.
